Casual or formal office attire?

When I started working at the firm, I wore a suit and tie every day. Somewhere along the way, I started wearing "Friday casual" attire on days when there were not client appointments. I'm going to keep that up, I think -- when I'm not scheduled for any meetings with clients or other attorneys, I'll just wear golf shirts and khakis or other such casual clothing. I'm no less an attorney for dressing casually, and who am I trying to impress, anyway?

What are your thoughts, Loyal Readers?

Save your "monkey suits" for when needed and be comfortable the rest of the time. Life's short enough as it is without wearing a noose everday.

I agree, what you wear should never measure who you are as a person. It is somewhat troubling to think about how many people are given undue credit just because they wear the "right" clothes.
