Big Fun

Last night, The Wife and two of our friends and I went to see the Knoxville Ice Bears take on the Huntsville Havoc. Minor-league hockey is Big Fun. There's all sorts of stuff going on -- from the guys racing across the ice to put on frozen T-shirts to the massive audience puck throw. An unintelligible rinkside announcer (he held the mike way too close to his mouth) and drunken fans breaking out in a fight added to the atmosphere. We had fun seats, too -- right behind one of the nets. You could tell why these guys were playing minor league hockey; they had some talent and skillz but weren't quite up to NHL standards. Big fun.
