The woman who had her dead pit bull Booger cloned in South Korea has been identified by some people as the former beauty queen who used an elaborate ruse to escape justice in the United Kingdom for abducting a Mormon missionary and making him her sex slave in a weird sort of stalking thing. She denies it and has threatened libel suits against anyone who accuses her of this. But I can't resist the risk -- the mere accusation is so weird, and if the Fish Wrapper is to be believed, the defendant in that case (and some other weird crimes in North Carolina) has the same Social Security number as the dog-clone lady, and people familiar with the old crimes seem pretty certain that the picture is the same woman. And the dog-clone lady claimed to be a screenwriter from Hollywood and handed out business cards with a fictitious address, and seems to have gone home with her puppies to Salt Lake City, not Hollywood, which at minimum calls her propensity for veracity into question.
I've no way of knowing if it's true or not. But the story looks even weirder than before. Anyway, I hope she enjoys her puppies.
