My wife likes goats. And they are pretty cute.
One thing about goats is, they eat anything. Grass, bushes, small trees, anything. Another thing about goats is, they are comfortable on mountains and rough terrain.
Which makes them ideal for controlling the growth of underbrush and weeds on steep hills. Even in downtown Los Angeles. Which is how they're being used now. I think it's a great way to get rid of overgrown weeds and shrubbery, and I'm familiar with the hill in question -- there's no way you're getting lawn care equipment up and down that hill without someone getting hurt badly. But goats? They love it! The only issue is keeping them in one place so they don't wander out into traffic.
