Senate Republicans finally found their vertebrae yesterday and refused to back the auto bailout bill. As a result, it failed. Wall Street is going to s-u-c-k suck today, but that's okay. In their present form, the companies may not survive, but that's okay, too. In the long run, their assets will not remain idle, and cars and trucks will continue to be built and people will continue to have jobs. It will be different than the past but different is not necessarily bad.
Props to Senate Republicans for finally standing in the way of the continued transformation of our economy into the People's Republic of North America.
