Former Senator Rick Santorum, the darling of social conservatives these days, has said that he's willing to endorse Rudy Giuliani or Mitt Romney or anyone else running for President over McCain because... "I don’t agree with him on hardly any issues."
Like what, Rick? McCain is pro-life, pro-troop-surge, anti-same-sex-marriage, pro-Intelligent Design, anti-pork (I like that one, myself), and he agrees with you on every social issue of significance to the religious right and its "values voters." Meanwhile, in the Republicans' breadbasket of votes, the pro-choice, gay-friendly Rudy Giuliani has a commanding lead thanks in part to the fact that Santorum and his ilk have found no candidate from within their own ranks who is even moderately marketable.
Of course, Santorum hasn't endorsed anyone yet. Instead, he's writing a book about the rising threat of militant Islamic terrorism, and declining lobbying jobs, because "I want to keep my political options open." Gee, what could that mean?

Was telling everyone that only one president has a last name with a vowel at the end. I stand corrected. There are two. Giuliani will not be a third in 2009. Maybe VP ?
