Turns out
Sean Connery had been
offered the role of Gandalf in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy for somewhere between 10% to 15% of the box office. The box office totals (not counting rental, pay-per-view, or DVD sales) for the trilogy was over a billion dollars for the U.S. alone.
Well, we all make mistakes sometimes. Look at the
performance put in this weekend by a
quarterback I assigned to ride the bench this week in my fantasy football league -- the one I play for money. Instead, I played
Marc Bulger. So I know how you feel, Sir Sean.
