Vindicating Gavin Newsom

Perhaps this isn't as important as the aftermath of Katrina. Perhaps this isn't the most important issue facing our society today. Certainly, a lot of opponents of this idea get really upset about it and have a difficult time rationally defending their point of view. But damnit, it's just plain the right thing to do. Here's hoping the Assembly has as much in the cajones department as the Senate. Here's hoping that the embattled Governor won't exercise his veto.
