Looks like what just hit about sixty seconds ago was a 5.9 based in the mountains about halfway between Temecula and the Salton Sea. Here, it felt like a truck hit the building followed by some swaying, like when your car goes up and down dips in the road. I hope no one was hurt, and there's reason to be optimistic because the center of the quake was in a wilderness area.
LATER: It seems to have been downgraded to a 5.4. And amazingly, The Wife was home at the time and said she felt nothing.
