Win With The Hand You're Dealt

The big knock against the Dodgers' chances in the playoffs is that they don't have an ace starting pitcher, and St. Louis has two aces in Carpenter and Wainwright.  And I'd agree that Broxton, Wolf, and Kershaw are each about one rank below Carpenter or Wainwright.

But I'd rather have three kings than a pair of aces.

After a great come-from-behind ninth inning, we're up two to nothing in a best-of-five division playoff series.  It's too early to look ahead of that just yet.  But a Dodgers-Yankees series would be damn cool.  So would a Dodgers-Angels series.
