A lot of places that I have traveled, especially east of the Mississippi, have a fetish about softening their water. Is the manganese content of water here in lovely Waukesha really so high that this is necessary?
I hate softened water. It feels slick and soapy. You can never tell when you've got the soap off of your hands.
If your water is not softened, that means that once a year, you've got to scrub down your shower with Lime-A-Way. Is that so hard?
