After a disappointing but predictable loss to the Czechs, it was very nice yesterday to see the Americans tie the formidable Italians in the World Cup. Granted, it was something of a home game for the U.S., since the game was played at Kaiserslautern, very near the large U.S. airbase at Ramstein. We could have won but a game-winning goal was disallowed.
I was too busy to watch the game, but maybe I can catch some of the last Group E match against Ghana (ain't none higher) at 7:00 on Thursday. We're still last in the group, but we can move on to the next round with some help from the Czechs and a good showing against Ghana.
